For ten incredible years, Johnson stood by his Veteran’s side—a loyal companion, a protector, and a true friend. More than just a service dog, he was a beacon of love, joy, and unwavering devotion. With his ever-happy spirit and boundless affection, he brought light into every room and every heart he touched.

Johnson was always ready for a snack (or several), his appetite as big as his heart. But if there was one treat he loved most, it was watermelon. So much so that the neighbors fondly knew him as the “Watermelon Dog,” even gifting him a toy in honor of his favorite fruit. His presence in the neighborhood, at the dog park, and in the lives of those who met him was unforgettable. He greeted every person and pup with kindness, and they all loved him just the same.

Goofy yet wise, playful yet dutiful, Johnson embodied the very best of what it means to love unconditionally. He was not just a service dog—he was family, a best friend, and a hero in his own right.

Though his paws may no longer walk beside us, his love remains. His memory will forever be cherished, his legacy one of laughter, companionship, and the purest kind of loyalty.

Rest easy, sweet Johnson.

You have served well.
