Tank the dog Very heartbroken. ๐Ÿ’” The Tank earned his wings this week, being loved and doted on by his family every second of his journey. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer and weโ€™ve been in hospice mode for the last 4 months, spoiling him, taking care of his every need and whim, and giving him abundances of hugs and love.

We adopted Tank from the San Bernardino shelter, after seeing his picture on a social media page. (A living testimony to sharing dogs on social media who need homes.) It was his 2nd time at that Shelter. The first time, his owners claimed him. The second time, they didnโ€™t want him back. So, we had him flown to Washington on a Pilots for Paws flight, and loved that big goof from the minute he stepped off that plane.

Tank was an easygoing, laid back kinda guy, whose name fit him perfectly. He loved food, his family, food, long walks and hikes with Boss, did I mention food?, trancing, and all people. He was always up for any adventure, and always with an easygoing tail wag. On off leash walks, he always lagged behind, because he not only read those newspapers, he studied them with every long whiff. A big teddy bear, perfect for cuddling, he had a wisdom about him that made you think he knew a lot more than we did.ย

We loved this boy with all our heart and soul. Godspeed my sweet, sweet, gentle boy, until we meet again. You were the bestest most perfect boy we could have ever hoped for. And doncha worry, Boss wonโ€™t let your share of the bisquits go to wasteโ€ฆ.๐Ÿ’”
