Patch crossed the rainbow bridge this morning at home in his bed with us at his side and with hospice. He was at peace, and it was a "good death." Humans should be so lucky.
We loved Patch for almost 6 years after adopting him in July 2019. We do not know anything about his history other than he was abused. He was usually quiet but very observant of his surroundings. He loved food and would bark when he wanted treats. Costco chicken jerky was his absolute favorite along with all the cookies made by Auntie Kelley over the years. He would curl up with the beautiful blankets she made for his bed. He loved his frequent walks with Michael and body massages by me.
Patch lived to be 15 years, 6 months and 20 days. What a blessing!
